Our eco-friendly Soy wax candles are hand poured in small batches and come in three of our most popular scents: Rose and Oud, Hygge Winter Spices and Tubereuse, plus our two new scents Verveine and Fir Tree. Verveine has a wonderful lemony verbena scent. Fir tree is woody and fresh with scents of Eucalyptus, Pine and Cedar. They all feature cotton wicks and are packaged in biodegradable cellophane with a lovely ribbon tie. This year they come in a selection of containers including clear glass, silver pewter and brass.  Our candles will give your room that real feel of luxury and they look so beautiful. They come in three sizes; glass containers 220g, burn time approximately 35 hours, large pewter and brass 230g burn time approximately 40 hours and extra large pewter 280g burn time approximately 45+ hours. Without exception we have had nothing but excellent customer feedback, with customers coming back again and again, saying that the scent really does last throughout the whole length of the candle. Try one and see for yourself!

There are many advantages to using soy wax over normal paraffin wax in candles. Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and because of this, soy candles will burn slower and longer than paraffin candles. Oils evaporate better from a larger surface area and with the lower heat and larger melt pool so wax creates a scent that will be that much stronger and longer lasting than that of paraffin wax candles.

Sadly, most candles bought today are still made of paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is cheaper to produce but when burnt it creates highly toxic benzene and toluene (both are known carcinogens). In fact, the toxins released from paraffin candles are the same as those found in diesel fuel fumes. So if we are thinking about our health …and the planet, we should be changing over to either soy or beeswax candles.

Please Note … To make your candles last longer, remember to trim the wick regularly and burn the candle until the whole surface is a molten pool from edge to edge. This is especially important when you light your candle for the first time.
